Reverend Dr. Shari Herring is the Founder, President and CEO of Inspiration Retreats, Inc.  She is lovingly known as Dr. Shari and prefers to be called a Servant of the Most High God.  She is the past host of Inspiration Retreats with Shari TV show on Time-Warner Cable.   Dr. Shari has a passion for serving others and allows God to use her to encourage others in their purpose. Everything she does is in glory and honor to Him.  She holds as her guiding Scripture "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."  Matthew 19:26, KJV.

​God called Shari to start preaching His Word to the lost, and to provide inspiring messages to the world, while a member of her home church, Christian Light Missionary Baptist Church, Autryville, NC in 2009.  She was ordained by the North Carolina Middle District Baptist Association in 2012 after completing Ordination Academy and years of dedicated service.

Dr. Shari graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Ministry degree from Andersonville Theological Seminary in May 2011 and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University in December 2012.  In addition, she received a Certificate from the inaugural Healing Ministry of Jesus course in the School of the Spirit with Oral Roberts Ministries.  She holds an MBA degree from Alabama A&M University and a BA in Communications and Public Relations from Fayetteville State University. Shari has served on several boards of directors with various organizations and has received numerous customer service awards from Xerox, NASA, and the FDA just to name a few. Although she has many accomplishments and recognition, her greatest is being called a Servant of the Most High God!  Her aim is to be “well pleasing” to God.

Dr. Shari is married to a wonderful husband, Rev. Dr. Zebedee C. Herring and has a blended family with seven (7) beautiful children, their spouses, and twelve (12) loving grandchildren.
