Pastor Priscilla Jackson

Reverend Priscilla "Lorraine" Jackson serves as Pastor of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Council, North Carolina.  She is a licensed and ordained Baptist minister; a gifted teacher and former instructor for the Bladen Theological Seminary, Elizabethtown, North Carolina, a satellite campus for the North Carolina Theological Seminary, Clinton, NC and the General Baptist State Convention’s Congress of Christian Education. She is currently serving as Director of Christian Education for Hammond Creek Association of Bladen County. She hosts an annual Women’s Empowerment Gathering on the 2nd Weekend in November.


Pastor Jackson attended East Bladen High School.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fayetteville State University, a Master of Arts in Human Relations (concentrating in Counseling), Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Christian Education, Apex School of Theology, Durham, NC.   She retired from her alma mater, Fayetteville State University after over 30 years of service as a counselor and freshman seminar instructor.

 

Pastor Jackson shared 34 years of marriage with the late Reverend Ronnie Jackson of Ft. Gaines Georgia.  They have 2 grown children, LaRhonda & Jonathan and 3 grandchildren, Paris, Londyn and Ethan.  Rev. Jackson is the oldest of 6 Children born to the late Johnnie and Marie McKoy of Elizabethtown, North Carolina.  Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5, 6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.”
